After more than 20 years in the classroom, I began to notice a pattern.

Bright, capable students were moving from grade to grade without fully mastering the reading and writing skills they needed. As academic expectations increased, those learning gaps often became greater obstacles, leaving many students frustrated, discouraged, and lacking confidence.

I knew there had to be a better way.

That's why I created The Learning Loft Workshop.

I believe every child is capable of becoming a confident, successful reader and writer when given the right support. Through The Learning Loft Method, I identify learning gaps, create personalized learning plans, and teach research-based literacy strategies that help students build strong foundations, gain confidence, and become independent learners.

Every lesson I teach is rooted in the belief that lasting growth happens when children feel known, encouraged, and equipped with the right strategies to succeed.

My goal isn't simply to help students succeed this school year—it's to equip them with the skills, strategies, and confidence they'll carry with them for years to come. When children understand how to learn, they begin to believe in themselves, approach challenges with greater confidence, and experience the joy that comes with lasting success.
